Not So Unfair and Unbalanced

Unlike most of the right-wing pundits, I saw Fahrenheit 9/11 and will talk about it...

The documentary was a lot less scathing and more fair than people would like you to believe. It wasn't sensationalizing out-of-context clips, it wasn't ripping on Bush's intelligence for the sake of ridicule, and it wasn't as self-serving as Bowling for Columbine seemed to be. In fact, it was probably more of a documentary than Bowling. Moore presented fact and other's opinions in a very sensible light, and never seemed too over-the-top.

To be honest, this film contained information that I had already known. Apparently though, this movie was not for me. It was for people who get their news from Fox News, the NY Post and the rest of the conservative media. This movie was for people who don't pay attention. This movie was for people who don't care enough to search for their own news. This movie was for people who will believe what they were supposed to believe. The difference is, now they have the real news, in a medium that is as accessible as any other. This movie is for the people who are dying for truth, dying for lies, and dying for a new president.

So, rather than believe what Bill O'Reilly has to say about the movie despite the fact that he didn't see half of it, or what Sean Hannity says, despite the fact that he hasn’t seen it, and despite what ignorant bloggers have to say about it, without having seen it, do yourself a favor and watch, and learn. This movie is fair and balanced and everything that the conservative media isn't but says they are.
