It was announced today that the House of Representatives is going to approve a $275-318 Billion Highway and Transit bill. This would allocate monies to create and repair necessary roads, ease congestion and .... create jobs. No wonder the president is trying to have this bill vetoed! His biggest campaign slogan regards creating 300,000 jobs/month or something, meanwhile he is killing every bill that actually tries to do it. Some are suggesting that this bill will be the President's first veto. His reasons for this is that he fears that the administration is spending too much and they want to "rein in spending." Bush is doing a great job picking what things to spend on: Mars, Iraq, Afghanistan... but not the U.S.?
