This is another disturbing example of 'our' (Bush) complete ignorance of the past. The infringement on civil rights is one thing; violating the Geneva Conventions on several issues is another.

I don't know about you, but I completely believe this . Even if the Bush Administration can contend that detaining these 'terrorists' is in the best interest of National Security, not a violation of Civil Rights and the Geneva Convention, it most certainly is against Human Rights. Then again, Bush is pushing hard to renew and STRENGTHEN(?) the Patriot Act. An act that so clearly infringes on civil rights that it boggles the mind how it got passed in the first place... oh yeah, FEAR put in the heart of every American by the Bush Fear Machine.
