Money Talks; Bullshit and Crooks Walk

So. Cheney is still going around spreading fear like the clap on a college campus homecoming weekend. Now, instead of just ambiguous terrorism and an undefined future riddled with attacks, Cheney says we have to get our mind around the concept of nuclear bombs being detonated in our cities. Thanks Dick.

By now I assume most of y'all have seen The Onion's brilliant piece of satire where Cheney threatens to attack the U.S. if John Kerry wins. Brilliant. True?

Anyhow. The Bush campaign is still pushing those Swift Boat Veterans for all they're worth. A funny thing to think about: If Kerry hadn't testified about the atrocities, the Bush campaign would be yelling at the top of their lungs, "He committed atrocities!" as opposed to, "What atrocities?" or "He made the war last longer!"

Sinclair Broadcasting Group, the company that is planning on airing an anti-kerry 'documentary' in battleground states days before the election on it's own channels, is sinking fast. The publicly traded company dropped over $1 per share due to the scandal. Since, the company has said they will not air the whole thing, allowing the stock to rebound remarkably. That, my friends, is Democracy, isn't it.

Condi Rice, going against all precendents (not the first time) is on the campaign trail with her big boss man (read: massa). Have you been wondering why you haven't seen or heard much from her? Remember after that whole 9/11 commission thing where she was exposed as a liar and just as deluded as Bush? Remember when it was painfully obvious that she was so incompetent in her job that they had to create another job just like it? How embarassing that must be. Even if she gave good advice to Bush, would he have listened?

According to the recollection of former Presidential Candidate Pat Robertson, Bush was warned on several occassions by the evangelist that the war would be messy and full of casualties.

"And I warned him about this war. I had deep misgivings about this war, deep misgivings. And I was trying to say, 'Mr. President, you had better prepare the American people for casualties.' "

Robertson said the president then told him, "Oh, no, we're not going to have any casualties."

So. President Bush got terrible advice from his cabinet, which he heeded. He got great advice and recommendations from his Generals and other officers, which he ignored. He got advice from personal friends which he disregarded as absurd. Who is this guy?

When you request fluffed up intelligence in order to paint a darker picture of a country that has been handcuffed for the previous 10 years in order to invade it for the riches and strategery, then demonize your opponent for voting for something that was almost impossible to vote against given the 'intelligence,' your a dirty con-artist that belongs in jail. If they really want to discuss flip-floppery and an inability to lead in the time of 'war,' they should be nominating a different candidate. more later
