Tepid Sense of an Intrepid Destiny

The early numbers are coming in and it is starting to look very good. As of 6:30, MSNBC is saying that Virginia and North Carolina are both too close to call. These two states were supposed to be locks for Bush but it certainly appears that is not the case. I don't know the numbers exactly but none of the electoral scenarios took either of these states into account. This is great.

Is it possible the Democrats will 'steal' John Edwards' home state? Absolutely. The amount of college campuses alone in that state could twist it the other way. Many parts of Virginia are close to DC so there are many people who are registered in Virginia but work in DC and would be considered liberal, or not retarded. Virginia could go to the Democrats.

While Fox News wishes they could start talking about Laci Peterson and forget about this night, they are forced to talk about the incredible voter turnout, the ground game in battleground states (which I am proud to say I participated in (more later)).

We won't know who will win Ohio for a while but Kerry might not even need it, but let's hope he takes it anyway.
